Job Description:
H&K Group, Inc., an established leader in the construction
materials industry since 1968, is seeking a dedicated Plant
Maintenance/Utility Person to ensure the operational efficiency of
our plant facilities. This role is pivotal in maintaining the
reliability and functionality of our equipment and infrastructure,
providing direct support to our core operations in aggregates,
asphalt, and concrete production. The ideal candidate will have a
robust understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to
safety and environmental standards, contributing to our mission of
delivering superior construction services and materials across the
Mid-Atlantic region. Perform routine and preventative maintenance
on plant machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic
systems within the plant to minimize downtime. Follow safety
protocols and contribute to the implementation of safety meetings
and training sessions. Assist in the installation and adjustment of
new plant equipment under the direction of more experienced
technicians. Regularly inspect tools and equipment for signs of
wear and report any need for repairs. Support plant operations by
performing cleanup tasks and other utility roles as required.
Assist in the documentation of maintenance procedures and outcomes
for compliance and reporting purposes. Strong mechanical aptitude
and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic,
and electrical systems. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as
forklifts, loaders, and cranes. Proficiency in using tools and
equipment necessary for maintenance repairs. Effective
communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and a
commitment to workplace safety. Medical Insurance 401k Preferred:
