Job Description:
Veltri, Inc. is growing and looking to add a Fleet Services
Manager to their team. -Veltri, Inc., has been servicing the
trucking industry for over 48 years. Privately held and family
owned we are excited to bring a hands on director of fleet to join
our team and continue our growth.Reporting to the VP, This ideal
candidate will have experience setting up an infrastructure,
maintaining the core logistic programs, collecting and analyzing
customer and carrier data, as well as running daily financial
reports. Ideally, this position will have continuous growth and
will help assist in the fine-tuning & continuous development of the
division's procedures and process mapping.Job Description:
- Strong Fleet management experience
- Scheduling ability to maintain fleet with daily
maintenance
- Strong knowledge of establishing priorities and manage
workload
- Implementations of industry software to maintain fleet
records.
- Experience with successfully -or Will Manage multiple locations
and staff
- Proven track record of establishing a company
infrastructure
- Knowledge of running analytics for department
- Knowledge of industry safety and environmental regulations
including DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Director will work with HR department to recruit, disciplinary,
mentor and perform employee reviews.
- Ability to establish priorities and manage workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, technology savvy, priority
fleet software system
- --- Delegate daily tasks of staff
- --- Responsible for DOT compliance with reports, vehicle
inspections and licenses
- --- Monitor maintenance department expenditures.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory; maintain vendor
relationships.
- --- Manage and oversee maintenance staff (diesel techs and
welders) including attendance, employee issues,
recruitment/hiring/training, required paperwork, reviews, etc
- --- --- Assist with creating a safety-first culture - support
safety initiatives; be an active member of the Safety Committee;
follow all OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations.
- --- Support emergency situations
- --- Develop and implement plans for all situations including
breakdowns, traffic accidents, equipment damage, and failed
inspections, receiving citations or fines.
- Responsible for budgeting and having the ability to forecast
equipment costs and needs.This position supports the other members
of the core leadership team and drives the company's best practices
with regards to equipment strategy and
budgeting.Interdependencies:This position will interact with parent
company Accounting, Safety and Compliance, Dispatcher/Sales and
have direct communications with customers and outside
carriers.Qualifications and Requirements:Requirements:Minimum of 5
years of maintenance management dealing with fleets of over 100
units, including any of the following: buses, minivans, trucks, and
trailers. --- Strong computer capabilities --- Strong written and
verbal communications skills --- Basic accounting knowledge ---
Ability to develop processes and procedures --- Ability to work
independently and as part of a team --- US geographical awareness
--- Efficient with Transportation Management Software ---
Proficient in Excel --- College Degree preferred --- Organized
