Kinsley Power Systems, Inc. is looking for a Sales Director to lead our Residential business as well as other assigned business units. This position is responsible for assisting in the creation of annual sales plans and implementing the plan to meet or exceed budgeted revenue and profitability goals. This individual will manage a team of inside and outside sales associates, along with internal support staff, while embracing the Company's core values. Sales Director Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of the business, and utilizes the results to align the sales division for success
  • Responsible for executing the department Annual Operating Plan; achieving department revenue, gross margin, and EBIT profitability goals congruent with the strategic growth plan
  • Drives the strategic business plans for assigned sales division
  • Leads assigned sales divisions to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and sales revenue and profitability goals
  • Ensures the sales pipeline requirements that are in alignment with the business growth objective
  • Reviews critical sales KPIs, and drives the commercial cadence and accountability with the business
  • Prioritizes and monitors the sales opportunities with the team, engages executive Kinsley Group leadership where appropriate to advance and accelerate the closure of opportunities
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals that meet or exceed the Annual Operating Plan
  • Responsible for hiring, and mentoring outside sales team
  • Additional duties as assignedPreferred Sales Director Skills:
    • Bachelor's Degree, or 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role
    • Sales distribution-related experience, selling B2B, B2C, and a keen understanding of balancing short and long selling cycles
    • Five years of experience with a proven track record in closing deals and managing multi-faceted sales organizations
    • Ability to demonstrate successful sales growth in previous roles, tied to the overall contribution of the business strategy
    • Proven experience in the sale of complex technologies and a strong desire to meet the customers where they live, build relationships and long-term partnerships
    • Related experience in diesel power, power generation, distributed energy, cogeneration, electric power generation, or related is a strongly preferred
