Job Opening: Program Director at The VillaLocation: The Villa, 3114 Villa Avenue, Bronx, NY, USADate: Friday, January 3, 2025Position: Program DirectorProgram: The VillaProgram Description:The Villa is a congregate building in the Bronx, opened in 2015, providing supportive housing for 47 individuals who are active substance users and 9 with serious and persistent mental illness.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be available on-call and respond to emergencies 24/7/365
• Manage daily operations related to tenant services, physical plant, safety, and security
• Supervise staff, handle HR issues including hiring, discipline, training, and development
• Work with Property Management to oversee the business office, including rent collection
• Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator to ensure quality of tenant services
• Meet regularly with tenants for counseling and safety instructions
• Resolve tenant issues and conflicts as needed
• Manage the budget and ensure compliance with city and state regulations
• Complete statistical and reporting requirements timely
• Build relationships with local and state service providers
• Maintain community relations and develop partnerships with community organizations
• Facilitate weekly interdisciplinary team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadershipQualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work or related field is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years' experience working with homeless, mentally ill, or chemically addicted populations; 2 years supervisory experience consideredPreferred Skills:
    • Team building and cooperative work with staff
    • Organizational skills and ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening)
    • Interpersonal skills to model appropriate behavior and create a supportive environment
    • Knowledge of case management software (AWARDS) and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
