Job Description:
You will be working with a team of experts to develop, maintain,
and support our Microsoft Windows environment using a combination
of Microsoft Intune and SCCM / MECM. What You Will Be Doing As a
Penske Systems Engineer - IoT, you will be providing day-to-day
support of the company's large Microsoft Windows environment. You
will work closely with cross functional teams, including department
leaders, project managers, software engineers, and quality
assurance professionals, to deliver high quality solutions to the
organization. You will manage and coordinate the implementation of
software that has large scale impact. You will be responsible for
supporting and maintaining the security, connectivity, maintenance,
and reporting of the devices. The ideal candidate will have strong
problem-solving skills, a passion for technology, and a commitment
to delivering excellent customer service. Penske Responsibilities -
Install, configure, and tests operating systems, application
software, and system management tools - Manage and monitor all
workstations for the organization to be in line with company
guidelines and industry standards - Monitor compliance of operating
system and installed software against known vulnerabilities -
Define and implement remediation strategies for devices with known
vulnerabilities - Act as a consultant to the business regarding
device management best practices - Provide technical direction to
IT support staff - Conduct thorough testing and debugging of new
software deployments - Design field test cases, generate test
reports and recommend areas of optimization - Participate in
analyzing and defining CTQs for new projects - Responsible for the
creation of project plans, timelines, milestones, goals and
ownership - Participate in research and make recommendations on
products, services, protocols, and standards. Meet with suppliers
to select core technologies - Work closely with the Penske business
units and ensure business problem are aligned with the relevant
solutions - Work cross functionally with the Desktop Services, IT
Security, Data Communications, and Azure teams to maintain
operating system and application reliability - Participate in the
long-term planning of our workstation management strategy -
Participate in after-hours tasks such as on-call responsibilities
and organizational outage windows - Work within a team and take
responsibility for new projects and tasks - Provides "ownership" of
problems through final resolution - Other projects/tasks as
assigned. Penske Qualifications - Associate's degree in information
technology, Computer Engineering or related field preferred. If no
degree, then at least 3 years of specific (function) administration
experience required. - Minimum of 2-5 years of Desktop Engineering,
System Engineering, IT support, or equivalent - Minimum of 2 years
of Microsoft Intune and MECM / SCCM experience - Preferred to be a
Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate - 1-2
years of project management (including mid-to-large scale projects,
and managing multiple projects at one time) - Extensive knowledge
of workstation/desktop technologies, device capabilities,
platforms, and operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows 11,
macOS and ChromeOS - Experience managing Intune components such as
Autopilot, Windows Update for Business, Conditional Access,
Compliance Policies, App Configuration Policies, Dynamic User &
Device groups, Reporting and Graph API - Experience managing Entra
joined and Hybrid Entra joined devices - Experience in utilizing
Windows Autopilot and Task Sequences for automating device
provisioning, configuration, and OS deployments - Proficient in
PowerShell scripting for automating software deployments, system
configurations, and troubleshooting tasks - Strong understanding of
PKI, VPN, Wi-Fi configurations, network protocols - Experience
working with popular tools such as Nessus, Crowdstrike, Global
Protect, Adaptiva, Printerlogic, Jamf, Google Admin Console -
Experience in troubleshooting device issues, diagnosing problems,
and providing technical support to end-users - Prior experience and
expertise of the PTL organization and portfolio of products in use
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills -
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of
the job. - Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required
schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske
