account.About the Lab:We currently have an opening for a Research
Technician to join the laboratory Dr. Cliff Brangwynne at Princeton
University. The Brangwynne lab works on understanding phase
transitions in living cells, including the development of
engineering technologies for probing and controlling how different
states of matter affect biological function. Through combining
concepts and tools from soft matter physics and molecular cell
biology, they have revealed how the condensation of various
liquid-like assemblies throughout the cell drive the flow of
genetic information and its dysregulation in diseases such as

on their .About the role:Under general supervision, assist in the
performance of laboratory research and procedures by performing a
variety of routine experimental techniques. The ideal candidate
will have experience and interest in one or more of the following:
genomics, CRISPR and related gene editing techniques, maintaining
human cells, microscopy, immunofluorescence, proteomics,
transcriptomics, as well as electrophoresis, PCR and related
routine laboratory techniques.The candidate will collect, verify,
record, and compile data and information in support of designated
research projects. Perform tasks supporting overall lab

- Assist scientists and technicians by performing various
research procedures and operating a variety of instruments and
other scientific equipment.
- Collect, record, organize and verify the accuracy of data;
perform calculations and prepare charts, graphs, and reports. May
use software applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format
data and test reports.
- Configure and operate laboratory apparatus and instruments;
read and record instrument data; tabulate data; keep laboratory
records.
- May maintain inventories of chemicals, reagents, and other
laboratory supplies and place orders as indicated.
- May maintain records of hazardous materials stored in the
lab.
- May participate in performing regular maintenance of
equipment.
- Participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions.
- Maintain cell lines and primary culture.
- Maintain knowledge of current developments in research area
through reading applicable literature and utilizing online
resources.In addition to the duties specifically identified by this
job description, the position will include other duties if and as
assigned by the direct supervisor or others with supervisory
authority over this position.Scope
- Works closely and collaboratively with one or more students or
postdoctoral fellows, as well as other lab members.
- Contributes to research results on an on-going basis. Usually
conducts routine aspects of research projects.

- Bachelor of Science degree or higher, in an appropriate field
or an equivalent combination of education and related work
experience.Experience

hire for this position in this location is compensated between the
minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
