DescriptionJob Title: Clinical Nurse-WoundCare-WOCN-Mount Sinai Hospital-FT/DaysThe Nurse Clinician is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates expert clinical expertise through advanced knowledge and skills in an area of clinical nursing specialization. The nurse clinician is able to guide and promote the growth and development of nursing practice through application of advanced nursing knowledge/skills with patients and families, nurses and other health care providers.Responsibilities

• Clinical Practice
• Provides direct patient care within an area of clinical specialization.
• Provides education to patients, families and/or caregivers using individualized teaching and counseling skills.
• Participates in the assessment, implementation and ongoing evaluation of clinical services for a designated patient population. Practice includes, but is not limited to:
• Patient screening
• Patient/Family education
• D/C planning and follow-up
• Case management
• Research
• Maintains clinical expertise in area of specialization
• Serves as a resource for patient and/or families/caregivers.
• Uses discriminative judgment in the selection, study and application of existing theories from nursing and allied fields applicable to the uniqueness of the patient care situation.
• Promotes and participates in the interdisciplinary approach to patient care delivery.
• Acts as a patient advocate utilizing the Patient Bill of Rights.

Treats co-workers, patients and families with dignity and respect.QualificationsEducation RequirementsMasters Degree in Nursing. The salary range for the role is $81.336 - $81.336 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
