This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse experienced in Operating Room settings, offering a stimulating role within a Level III Trauma OR that serves a complex community population. This contract position is based in Salem, MA, and involves day, evening, and weekend rotations delivering comprehensive perioperative care to a diverse patient group, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities: Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care using aseptic techniques Independently manage circulating duties in a multispecialty OR environment Collaborate as part of a skilled team to care for 30-40 patients daily, maintaining a 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation Fulfill rotating shift requirements, including 1-2 evening shifts and 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Participate in on-call rotations, covering 1 holiday and multiple weekday and weekend calls Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and professional nursing standards Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts RN License and BLS certification required 1-2 years of operating room nursing experience preferred Proficient in basic aseptic technique and skilled in circulating independently within a multispecialty OR Adaptable to rotating shifts and weekend scheduling Location Insight: Salem, MA offers a rich historical backdrop paired with vibrant cultural attractions, picturesque waterfront views, and a friendly community atmosphere.
