delivering exceptional patient care. Position Summary Wills Eye
Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Oculoplastics
service within a premier academic medical center environment. The
Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive care for
patients with eyelid, lacrimal, orbital, and facial plastic
conditions under the supervision of attending oculoplastic
surgeons. This role includes outpatient and inpatient clinical
care, surgical assistance, perioperative management, and
participation in on-call coverage. The PA will work closely with
attending physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and
multidisciplinary teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Care: Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform
focused ophthalmic and periocular examinations Evaluate, diagnose,
and manage oculoplastic conditions in collaboration with
supervising attendings Develop and implement treatment plans
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care Perform in-office
procedures as credentialed and delegated Prescribe medications in
accordance with state regulations and institutional policies
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic
medical record Surgical & Procedural Support: Assist attending
surgeons in the operating room Participate in perioperative patient
management Ensure accurate operative documentation Inpatient &
On-Call Coverage: Participate in supervised on-call coverage,
including nights, weekends, and holidays Evaluate inpatient and
emergency department consults related to oculoplastic and orbital
conditions Collaborate with consulting services and escalate care
appropriately Academic & Departmental Participation: Work in a
teaching environment alongside residents and fellows Participate in
departmental conferences, education, and continuing medical
education activities Support clinical, quality improvement, and
departmental initiatives Required Qualifications: Graduate of an
accredited Physician Assistant program NCCPA certification Current
or eligible Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania BLS
certification (ACLS preferred or as required by institution) Strong
clinical judgment, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in ophthalmology,
oculoplastic, or surgical subspecialties Experience in an academic
or teaching hospital environment Experience with inpatient care and
consult-based practice Compensation & Benefits This full-time
position offers an annual salary of $120,000 , commensurate with
qualifications and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits
