Planetree International. The Department of Psychiatry seeks a
full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join an innovative and
trailblazing program for treating pediatrics in emotional and
behavioral crisis. -They will be opening one of the first pediatric
Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH)
units in the nation which will be complimented by a short-term
12-week outpatient crisis stabilization program. This role will be
50% EmPATH unit based and 50% outpatient crisis stabilization
office-based. The psychiatrist will round on the EmPATH unit
weekday mornings and then spend afternoons providing outpatient
follow-up care to patients recently discharged from EmPATH. Typical
hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm. No required call or weekend shifts.
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Responsibilities: Provide direct
patient care on our pediatric Emergency Psychiatry Assessment,
Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) unit in the Emergency Department.
Provide outpatient crisis psychiatric management to patients
discharged from the pediatric EmPATH unit for up to 12 weeks until
they are transitioned to longer-term outpatient care in the
community. Supervise and teach nursing and ancillary staff and
trainees assigned to the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry service.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team of emergency
medicine and pediatrics staff and trainees, nurses, psychiatric
techs, psychotherapists, case management, receptionists /
schedulers, and outpatient office manager. Coordinate patient flow
between our emergency department, EmPATH unit, and outpatient

Requirements: Fellowship trained in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Available to start in 2026
Able to secure a CT Medical License
