Job Description:
Join an established multidisciplinary team of Hepatologists,
Gastroenterologists, Transplant Surgeons, Interventional
Radiologists, Advanced Practitioners, and nursing staff dedicated
to delivering comprehensive liver care. This position will perform
in collaboration with physicians to provide diagnostic and
therapeutic services for patients with complex liver disease,
including cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and pre- and post-liver
transplant management. The Advanced Practitioner will play a key
role in coordinating care across specialties, ensuring seamless
communication between Hepatology, Transplant Surgery, and
Interventional Radiology teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include gathering clinical data, implementing
therapeutic plans, and functioning as a patient advocate in the
medical care system—serving as confidant, advisor, and liaison
between patients, families, and physicians. The role reports
clinically to the Director of GI and administratively to the Chief
Advanced Practitioner. Geisinger providers receive a comprehensive

the Advanced Practitioner the opportunity to work in both clinic
and hospital settings, alternating between outpatient Hepatology
visits and inpatient consults, including participation in
multidisciplinary liver care rounds. Education Bachelor's
Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician
Assistant (Preferred) Certification(s) and License(s) Certified
Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of
Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification -
Default Issuing Body Skills Patients Rights; Patient Assessment And
Care; Clinical Policies And Standards; Health Information
