Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste
management in the U.S. Northeast, is seeking a dedicated Side Load
Truck Driver to join our team. This position is crucial for
ensuring efficient waste collection and contributing to a cleaner,
sustainable environment. As a Side Load Truck Driver, you will be
responsible for operating side-loading trucks to service
residential and commercial customers, navigating through urban,
suburban, and rural areas. The role requires adherence to all
safety protocols and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Operate side-loading waste collection trucks efficiently. Perform
pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the functionality of the
vehicle. Collect and transport waste and recyclables as scheduled,
following all local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain a
clean and safe vehicle, reporting any necessary repairs or issues.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors to ensure
routes are completed as required. Provide excellent customer
service, addressing and escalating issues as needed. Proficiency in
operating side-loading and other waste management vehicles.
Knowledge of traffic and safety laws. Ability to perform physical
tasks and lift weights regularly. Good communication and
organizational skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean
driving record. Certification in safe driving and waste management
preferred.
