Job Description:
About Inspiren Inspiren offers the most complete and connected
ecosystem in senior living. Founded by Michael Wang, a former Green
Beret turned cardiothoracic nurse, Inspiren proves that
compassionate care and technology can coexist - bringing peace of
mind to residents, families, and staff. Our integrated solutions
seamlessly fit into existing workflows, capturing everything
happening within a community. Backed by nurse specialists and
powerful analytics, we provide the data operators need to make
informed clinical and operational decisions - driving efficiency,
profitability, and better care outcomes. About the role As our VP
Security, IT & AI Enablement , you will own Inspiren’s security
posture end to end and build the function that ensures our internal
systems, tools, and workflows scale safely with the company. This
is a senior leadership role for a security leader who understands
modern technology organizations and can balance risk, velocity, and
pragmatism. You will define security strategy, own risk management
and compliance, and represent security and trust at the executive
level. You will also build the structure around internal IT and AI
enablement by hiring strong leaders and building effective
partnerships with IT vendors. While this is an executive role, it
is not oversight-only. You are expected to stay close to the work
and will have space to build and ship internal tools, workflows,
and systems where that is the highest-leverage way to drive change.
Your initial priorities will include establishing clear security
ownership and roadmap, strengthening our credibility with
enterprise customers and partners, hiring and developing the leader
who will own internal IT and AI automation, and overseeing the
security and IT foundations for our New York office. You will
report to the CTO and be accountable for security posture and
internal systems across Inspiren, enabling every function to
operate securely, efficiently, and at scale. What You’ll Do Own
security strategy and outcomes: Define security posture across
product, data, devices, infrastructure, and corporate systems. Set
priorities based on business risk and growth needs. Lead security
incident readiness and response: Own incident response planning and
execution. Run tabletop exercises. Establish escalation paths and
lead during real incidents. Be the executive owner for trust
externally: Lead security conversations with enterprise customers,
partners, auditors, and the board. Strengthen external confidence
in our posture. Own compliance pragmatically: Lead efforts such as
SOC 2, HIPAA, vendor risk management, and audit readiness. Build
practices that hold up over time. Set direction for internal AI
usage: Define how AI is used inside Inspiren. Ensure tools and
workflows improve how teams work while maintaining clear boundaries
around data and risk. Build and shape the function: Hire and
develop the team who owns internal IT and AI automation. Design the
structure so the function scales with the company. Build where it
matters: When it is the most effective path, personally design and
ship internal tools, automations, or workflows that materially
improve how the organization operates. Use vendors deliberately:
Decide when to build internally versus leverage vendors. Select,
manage, and hold vendors accountable for outcomes across security
testing, audits, and IT operations. Own security and IT foundations
for the New York office: Lead decisions related to access controls,
network standards, device policies, and physical security.
Cross-functional partnership: Ensure security and internal systems
allow teams to move quickly without creating unmanaged risk. What
You Bring Owned security outcomes at a growth-stage tech company,
with real accountability for decisions and results Defined security
direction across cloud, product, data, and corporate environments

meaningful AI adoption across a company, with clear examples of

security function in a scaling company, and ideally had exposure to
IT as part of that scope Built and led teams, including hiring
senior ICs and directors Solid judgment and pragmatism, with the
ability to balance risk, speed, and business outcomes Clear, direct
communication with technical and non-technical audiences Bonus
Experience in health tech, enterprise SaaS, or dual
hardware/software environments Familiarity with device security,

status, or disability status.
