Job Description:
Our award winning bakery is looking for friendly and motivated
individuals who are at least 15 years of age to work at our bakery
counter. Brown's is looking for someone who is willing to work one
to two 4-6pm shifts throughout the week and work on both weekend
days. Brown's is also looking for someone to help us package our
delicious baked goods in the morning starting around 7am and
finishing in the early afternoon. A successful applicant is someone
who is outgoing, friendly, and is willing to go out of their way to
help customers. Brown's Orchards and Farm Market has a reputation
for great customer service, and that is something that an applicant
should keep in mind when applying. As a small family-owned orchard
and farm market, our people make us who we are and set us apart
from other businesses in the area. In a typical day, a bakery
counter associate will be assisting with the packaging of our
bakery products as well as putting some of the finishing touches on
our baked goods (like icing breads and cinnamon rolls). Also, the
bakery counter associate is responsible for making sure that the
bakery shelves are stocked and product is constantly being rotated
to make sure that our freshest items are on the floor. A successful
applicant will need excellent communication skills as they will be
responsible for taking cake and bakery orders over the phone.
Responsibilities: - Ensure fresh products are out on the floor with
appropriately marked dates - Package baked goods appropriately and
in a timely manner - Keep the floor shelves well stocked throughout
the day - Take orders in person and over the phone for bakery and
cake orders with accuracy and a friendly disposition - Ask
customers if they are in need of assistance if customers are
wandering through aisles Requirements: - Must be at least 15 years
of age - Must have excellent communication skills including writing
and speaking in English - Must be able to multitask without making
mistakes - Must have availability on the weekends and at least one
day during the week - Must be able to follow directions and
independently perform tasks after being shown the proper
procedure
