The Arc of Northeastern Pennsylvania is looking for a caring,
personable, and dependable Direct Support Professional DSP to work
in our Adult Day and/or Residential Program. About The Arc of NEPA

formed in 1955 by a group of parents seeking public education for
their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

of the business and professional communities have faced numerous
challenges in advocating for children and adults with intellectual
and developmental disabilities. The Arc continues to be a strong
voice for education rights, community supports, progressive

Day Program or Community Living Arrangement (CLA) will give you the

responsible for assisting consumers in becoming fully included in
the community, enhancing their self-image and skills development,

individuals we serve and support. What you need to be qualified for
this job To be qualified for this job, you've got to have a
positive and caring attitude. Experience in the field is a great
start, though not required as we will train you. Candidates must be
reliable and should be able to demonstrate a pattern of successful
time and attendance. In addition, candidates must have a valid
state-issued driver's license, a High School Diploma or equivalent,
an ability to work in a drug-free workplace setting, along with the
successful completion of required background screenings, and have
reached the minimum age of 18. Work Schedule Our Adult Day Program
operates Monday through Friday on a first shift. The CLA's are
staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year-so we can
generally work around many different schedules or shift
preferences. Full-time, Part-time and substitute shifts are
available, all in or within a 15-mile radius of Scranton, PA. Are

conclusion of my probationary period, I will maintain liability to
The Arc for the cost of my pre-employment medical examination,
including Tuberculin testing and controlled substance screening. If
the aforementioned should occur, these costs will be deducted from
my final paycheck. I also acknowledge that if the aforementioned
should occur before I earn a paycheck, I shall still maintain
liability to The Arc for these costs. In this last instance, I
understand that The Arc may take whatever legal action it deems
appropriate in order to recover these costs. 8. I understand that
the above conditions cannot be altered or amended, except in
